    The West Springs Cougar Ridge Community Association (WSCRCA) has teamed up with WinSport to offer our community members another amazing deal!

    Currently WinSport's annual family passes is $1,399, however they are offering it to our members for only $899.99 ($924.99 with the hill road access added)!

    This offer gives you and your family exclusive year-round access to WinSport facilities and events. Total retail value of all the access and perks provided by this pass is $3,000. This pass provides you and your immediate family with free access and exclusive member pricing for visiting family and friends.

    **Family annual passes include immediate family members only. Immediate family is defined as up to 2 adult guardians & dependent children under 18 years of age. At least one family member must be a parent or legal guardian to qualify. Proof of qualification may be required.

    • The pass is valid for 1 year from date of purchase.

    • This is an ongoing special for WSCRCA Members.

    Engineering For Kids and Sports Steps Academy have partnered to offer a special four-week program for WSCRCA members' children aged 5 to 7.

    Each Sunday for four weeks, participants will be introduced to robotics. The Jr. Robotics curriculum is designed to introduce students to the concepts of robotics, automation, programming, and the Engineering Design Process. Students will walk away from this class with a basic understanding of how robots are designed and programmed.

    This program is offered to WSCRCA members at a discounted members only price.

    •  Dates: Each Sunday from Nov 5 to Nov 26
    •  Time: 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
    •  Cost: $50 per child for WSCRCA members only (regularly $125).

    PAYMENT DETAILS: Registration is not complete until payment is made by contacting calgary@engineeringforkids.com. Failure to submit payment by Oct 29, 2017 will automatically cancel your registration and open the spot to another participant.

    • The maximum class size is 12, so register quickly!

    • What you should know:
    • • Parents do not participate in the session; parents are expected to drop off their children just before the session begins and to pick them up promptly at the end of the session.
    • Once you have registered, EFK will arrange for payment directly to them and EFK will ask the parents of registered children to complete their Registration and Parent Agreement before the first session begins.     WSCRCA Proudly Presents: Safe4Llife - SafeKids 

    The Safe4Life SafeKids program is 3 hours for children ages 7-12. The program is high energy and interactive to develop a child's Safety Plan. Topics include home alone safety, bullying, the stranger myth, inappropriate touching, abductions, self-confidence and more. Children have an opportunity to practice their new self-defence skills in a safe and simulated environment.

    Pricing includes: 3 hours of personal safety training and awareness, mental preparedness, and hands-on skills development.

    Attendees: Open to ages 7-12 years old

    Date/Time: Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017 from 1:00pm-4:00pm (please plan to arrive 10 minutes early)
    Pricing: $30 for Members

    What To Bring: A bottle of water and paper/pen for notes. Please dress in comfortable clothes as there is a hands on skills development component. Complete and bring with you the Family Waiver Form and Medical & Authorization Form.

    Parents or guardians over 18 years old are encouraged to stay for the course as it will better enable them to support their child after completing the course. Parents do not require a separate registration.

    Payment is required immediately upon registration. Failure to complete payment subjects your registration to cancellation at any time.

    If registration is FULL, you can still register on the waitlist, as a 2nd Safe4Life Kids program will be added for the same day, location & time if there is a minimum of 9 participants who join the waitlist. If you have more than one child to add to the waitlist, please email their gender and age to membership@wscr.ca.

    CANCELLATION POLICY:

    If there is less than 17 registerants by Friday, Nov 10, the program will be cancelled and refunds provided. Otherwise, refunds will be issued if minimum 72 hours notice is emailed prior to the start of the program to membership@wscr.ca. If less than 72 hours is provided, then refunds will be issued only if the spot is filled with another participant prior to the start of the program.

    WSCRA is offering a learn to skate program for all ages. This is a great opportunity to learn the basics of skating.

    • Mandatory for learn to skate participants:
      • Helmets with full face cage is required for each skater
    • • Mitts at all times are required
      • Parents/participants to arrive 10-15 mins early so kids are suited up and on the ice for their start time.
    • Note: If parents are going on the ice, they must have helmets

    • Highly Recommended:
    • • Waterproof mitts recommended
    • Snow pants to reduce injury

    Optional for parents/caregivers:
    • Parents have the option to help their own children during the learn to skate classes
    • Parents are highly encouraged to come on the ice if your child has never skated before and is unable to stand on their own.The parents must also wear a helmet.

    Arena Schedule is subject to change and can be confirmed when you arrive at the center by checking the digital boards.

    Cancellation Policy: Refunds are only provided if notification of cancellation is emailed to skating@wscr.ca 72 hours in advance. Otherwise, refunds will only be provided if the spot can be filled by another participant prior to the start of the program.

    Waitlist: A waitlist will open up once the registration fills up. If you require more than one child on the waitlist, please email the participants name and birthdate to membership@wscr.ca to add them.
